I INTERRUPT “STARTING OVER AGAIN PART 3” TO BRING YOU THIS PRESSING REFLECTION! (look for Starting Over Again pt. 3 in next post)

I know one of the reasons that Disneyland is the “Happiest Place On Earth!” Yes it has amazing rides that thrill and transport it’s patrons to another world. Yes it has mini theme lands within a larger theme park which excite the imagination. Yes it has the Matterhorn which features an “Abominable Snowman” to scare you as you wiz by in one of it’s rail cars. There’s “Space Mountain” if you prefer a more extraterrestrial experience where you can wiz through a backdrop of planets, constellations and other celestial bodies. For those that enjoy the paranormal and don’t mind being startled by “friendly ghosts”, there’s the “Haunted Mansion”, complete with drop-out floor for those who could’t imagine being scared without being dizzy. When you think about it Disney Land has everything and a thrill seeker could ask for in an amusement park. However there’s one thing that people don’t usually think of that makes Disney Land and other theme parks like it, ( Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios ect.), some of the happiest/ most enjoyable places on Earth! Can you guess what it is? It’s something that they all share in common that surrounds every one of them that makes them a safe and enjoyable experience for most people. The country of China also has one of these structures as a featured attraction even though it is a country and not a theme park. Can you guess what it is? Well if you haven’t figured it out already I’ll just tell you. It is a wall!!

Lately there has been a lot of controversy in the news concerning walls and their morality when used as a barrier on borders. Now before I go deeper into this topic I would like to make my disclaimer, the view that I have on this subject is only my opinion from my own life experience. Any reader of this post is entitled to have their own opinion and disagree with me, maybe you have information on the topic that I don’t have. First please allow me to point out that walls are not just a structure, but they are also a tool. First and foremost the main purpose of a wall is to provide a tangible separation between this and that, whatever this and that might be. But in most cases walls are used to separate the inside from the outside. Walls surround all kinds of structures whether they also support a roof or not. Walls provide a distinction to avoid confusion when a clear barriar cannot always be seen. All enclosures have walls even if they don’t have a roof. For instance, many parking lots have walls/ barriers even if they don’t have a roof, to serve as a barrier from cars being stolen from the unattended sides of the parking lot. The wall/ barrier serves as a tangible and psychological separator between the outside and inside of the parking lot. If most people were to be honest with themselves they would realize that they are “wall-centric” and actually rely on walls all the time.

I think that the real issue with the boarder wall is that there are forces at work within our government that know that our immigration policies are not being enforced. Therefore our immigration policies have become laughable and ineffective, but these government powers don’t want to start enforcing these policies because they are getting something out of it. No matter how much Nancy Pelosi feigns ignorance of the seriousness of our immigration situation, common sense tells us the opposite. She and her cronies in the federal government know exactly how bad & dangerous our current immigration policy is. We know this because the government has access to the best statisticians in the world. We know that the government can now monitor any private citizen they want, and get away with it, even if it is unconstitutional. Therefore, by deduction, we know that the government has the resources and technology to know just how many thousands of illegal immigrants are coming into the country and also how dangerous they are. We know of documented and televised accounts of illegal immigrants committing violent crimes against U.S. citizens and other illegal immigrants. So when a government official like Nancy Pelosi states that we do not have an emergency or crisis at our southern boarder, in my opinion I feel that she is lying.

It makes me wonder what if anything Nancy Pelosi feels that she stands to loose by strengthening the boarder. Is she worried that she and other wealthy politicians like herself will no longer benefit from cheap illegal domestic help like house keepers and yard workers? Is she covering up for the rumors of government officials benefiting from profit made off of illegal drugs brought in to this country by illegal traffickers? What are Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer not telling citizens about why they are so against stopping illegal immigration. Because the more I think about this issue I realize that it’s really not about whether we want a wall on our southern boarder. It’s really about weather the average citizen wants to acknowledge that illegal immigration is happening at such an extreme level that it is now affecting our quality of life. The reason that I say that the average citizen will have to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation is because privileged aristocrats like Nancy Pelosi, who is worth around 25 million dollars due to she and her husband being involved in real estate investing, will never directly feel the effects of illegal immigration. She can simply hide behind the barriers of her gated community, (yes Nancy believes in walls to protect her own property, even if she doesn’t believe in them to protect you), therefore she never has to come face to face with the issue. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer will never have to experience being edged out of a job because an illegal immigrant is hired who will do it cheaper. These two well-off politicians will never have to experience being edged out of affordable housing because of illegal immigrants playing the system to get to the front of housing waiting lists. The fact that wages for U.S citizens are driven down because of competition with cheap illegal labor will never directly effect Chuck and Nancy. Therefore I say that it will take the average U.S. citizen to wake up and realize that illegal immigration is literally not a threat to the wealthy politicians. Illegal immigration really only threatens average U.S. citizens like you and I who struggle to maintain our jobs and housing from day to day.

Chuck and Nancy have demonstrated over and over again that illegal immigration does not concern them. As I stated before, the reason it does not concern them is because it does not affect them. They have other things concerning them like how to keep you from knowing the truth! Which is things that concern you don’t concern them and probably never have. However they are good at keeping up the ruse that they are there to represent you. If the truth be known they are only there to represent themselves and whatever personal agenda they may have. They are wealthy politicians and their bread is buttered by special interest groups who benefit from cheap labor and illegal drugs that illegal immigrants provide. The last thing politicians like this want to see is a barrier go up that prevents the system that created them from continuing.

O.K. I’m willing to entertain the idea that maybe I’m being too negative and conspiratorial about the wall issue. O.K. I’m willing to explore the possibility that even considering a wall may reflect a controlling and even authoritarian flaw in my character. But let me point out to the reader that I’m the last one who wants to see an unsightly physical barrier go up on our southern boarder. I’m basically a hippy with a conservative slant at heart. So there’s a large part of me that wants people to be able to travel freely without the restraint of barriers between regions so that people can experience different cultures and ideas. However I have learned through experience that many people do not travel to other cultures with the idea to admire, learn from, and protect those cultures. Instead they travel to other regions to exploit the resources of that region, and they do not care that they are depleting the infrastructure that is providing those resources. I hate to admit it, but I have met immigrants legal and illegal who have even admitted to me that they don’t even like the U.S., and that they are only here to take advantage of benefits offered here. They have told me that if we are too naive to protect our own system, they will continue to use it since the current system is too broken to stop them. And personally I do not like to feel like the U.S. is being exploited and used when it offers a friendly hand to someone who appears to be in need, but is just basically playing the system. Hospitality has to be conditional, it has to be based upon mutual respect between the person offering the help, and the person receiving the help. Or else it ends up being exploitation of both parties.

Since my last edit to this post I have also learned about reports of Congolese immigrants being smuggled across the Texas/ Mexico boarder. According to reports they are being smuggled into Texas under the cover of darkness and the major news networks are neglecting to cover the story in order to play down the crisis at the boarder. Videos of the Congolese taken by by-standers show these central African people arriving with smugglers in San Antonio at night where they are quickly loaded onto buses headed to to all other destinations to process these immigrants. So what the reader needs to understand is that this is just one example demonstrating that its not just Latin Americans coming illegally across the southern boarder. There are illegal immigrants from all over the world using our southern boarder to illegally enter the country.
